Puppy crate training
I have some helpful notes I have put together over the years. Crate training is such a brilliant method of teaching a labradoodle pup where it's safe zone is, how to settle quickly into it's new home and it is also a great way to help with toilet training. To get all the info grab your own Puppy Crate Training Guide .

puppy school
Labradoodle pups are very intelligent and gain a lot from receiving training at a puppy school. The reason why young puppy schools are important are not to do with obedience training, which can be done at any age, but for socialisation.
It will be hard for me to promote all puppy schools but I will focus on the ones that are local to me for those that have purchased a pup from us that live fairly local in the South East Victorian suburbs. I believe puppy training is also important for owners to gain confidence in what they are doing. Raising a pup is similar to raising a child and having support and repetition of correct behaviour is very important!
Bairnsdale and District Dog Obedience Club - Classes for puppies and dogs older than 4 months are held on Saturdays. Beginners classes run for 4 weeks and you can even enjoy being a part of agility classes also as your dog gets older!
Beaconsfield Veterinary Centre - a free puppy school for pups over 8 weeks old and up to date with vaccinations
Berwick Obedience Dog Club - a great option if you pup is a little older (over 6 months). It's also a good option for doing on going training as your labradoodle gets older. a four week puppy training course is never enough to develop the habits your dog needs. The price is very reasonable and the trainers excellent!

Natural Health options for dogs
Many of the cleaners and products you use in your home contain ingredients that are toxic to animals and children. Including the products you might use to shampoo your pet or clean the carpets and floors after accidents.
Some of the main issues are with ingredients labelled simply as 'fragrance'. Research shows that these unlabelled fragrance ingredients have a nine out of ten toxicity rating. To learn more about how we care for our Labradoodles naturally, |
